このOpen Access Dayは、オープンアクセスや様々なコンテンツに対するより広範なアクセスの必要性に関して学術界や一般の人々により深い認識をもってもらう機会として期待されている。イベントではノーベル賞受賞科学者やオープンアクセスに関わる人々の講演などが予定されている。
イベント、ヨイですね。楽しみ。
SPARC Japan（国際学術情報流通基盤整備事業))とかが、国内でもイベントを開催されるのでしょうか。
とりあえず10月14日はフリーで動けるよう予定調整しておきます。w

This group is for anyone involved in the 'open access' movement.The term 'open access' is used here in the sense of the 'Budapest Open Access Initiative' with the meaning of anyone involved in providing open access to literature: "its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
